Creating a Downtown Living Space for Staci and Steve Slavin

There’s only one thing we love more than tackling a renovation challenge and that’s doing it alongside talented friends. When we work with Kristen Suding and Staci Slavin of Inland Interiors, we know the outcome will be amazing.

Our partnered projects generally consist of Inland Interiors doing the heavy lifting of product specifications and design, while we provide original design concepts, collaborate on ideas and vision, and supply product.

Home Renovation Meets Downtown Chic

The project this time around hit close to home for Staci, in particular. We helped convert the second floor of Inland’s retail space in downtown Muncie into sophisticated living quarters for Staci and her husband, Steve.

The results were pretty spectacular! Of course, that’s to be expected when Kristen and Staci designed every inch of the space themselves. They focused on creating a living quarter that was uniquely beautiful, while also practical and efficient.

From the bathroom shelf made from reclaimed wood to the champagne gold horizontal hardware on the kitchen wall cabinets, the Inland designers kept every detail in mind.

Home Renovation Checklist:

  • Square inset, shaker doors
  • Stack molding that takes the cabinets to the ceiling
  • Sufficient glass for openness and interest
  • Multiple finishes
  • Gorgeous, heavily veined, quartz countertops
  • High-end appliances with unique gold handles
  • Ample seating
  • Unique, inviting space

The downtown location and expertly chosen finishes give the Slavin’s new living space an urban vibe that we hope they enjoy living in as much as we loved working on!
